Terminal Emulator

Alacritty is fast, modern, configurable, and just works.

Code Editor

Primarily helix, for university I choose whatever is usually used for that language / ecosystem to not have to deal with setting things up (intellij for java, rider for c#, etc.). I do keep vscode around when exploring new stuff as its easier where installing a extension is enough to get things working (yes its easy for helix too but vscode sort of is like throwaway editor for me so meh).

Web Browsing

Zen with ublock origin, violentmonkey with small scripts, and a few other minor add-ons.

Writing and Notes

Txt/Markdown files: Writing raw text in monospace fonts in less than 80 character width is very satisfying and I find the text to be beautiful. But most of the time I have to render the final output in some form, so for that I use markdown.

Typst. I have been using typst instead of LaTeX for document writing.

Operating System

Nix OS, Chimera, Endeavour OS Fedora, Elementary OS, Nix OS, Arch Linux.
